Jazz After Hours at the Cabildo

Join the Connection Crew for a free, guided cultural experience in the heart of the French Quarter, where history, music, and storytelling come together in one unforgettable afternoon. We’ll begin at 1:00 PM (please arrive 15 minutes early) with a guided visit to The Cabildo and The Presbytère in Jackson Square—two iconic landmarks that bring Louisiana’s past to life through powerful exhibits on Mardi Gras traditions, Hurricane Katrina, and the city’s deep cultural roots, all housed in beautifully preserved historic architecture.

After our time in the museums, we’ll take a relaxed, scenic 10–12 minute group walk (about 0.5 mile) through the French Quarter, soaking in the charm, energy, and sights of the neighborhood as we make our way to our final destination. The afternoon wraps up at the New Orleans Jazz Museum, where we’ll explore the birthplace of jazz through an engaging guided experience featuring interactive exhibits, instruments, and stories that celebrate the city’s legendary music culture.
